An intent to collaborate agreement will be signed between C-CAMP (India) and AMR-Global (the Netherlands) next week during the India-Netherlands Technology Summit 2019. The summit is a celebration of the best in technology and scientific research across key areas. The India-Netherlands Tech Summit 2019 will be held at JW Marriot, Aerocityin New Delhi on 15& 16 October 2019.
With the start of this collaboration, both parties will start developing effective antimicrobial drugs and other technologies, while ensuring that everybody around the world has access to these. Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is spreading globally, threatening our ability to treat common infectious diseases. The AMR problem is particularly relevant to low- and middle-income countries, endangering our achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. By facilitating joint development of viable and necessary solutions to curb the AMR problem, C-CAMP and AMR-Global will join forces to achieve a common vision: a world where everybody has access to effective antimicrobial drugs and vaccines.
